There's No Business Like Show Business - September 2004.

Dandenong Theatre Company, September 2004.

There's No Business Like Show Business

When is a concert not a concert? When it's more than a concert! That is just what DTC is presenting in September. Entitled There's No Business Like Show Business it will be performed at the Monash Secondary College Theatre from September 10th to September 18th.

The cast (listed below) will be performing a selection of the best songs from past and contemporary musical theatre productions - each in a new context and with an underlying story, dialogue and plenty of jokes.

There will be songs from well established musicals such as Gypsy, Oliver, My Fair Lady and of course Annie Get Your Gun as well as from more modern ones such as Beauty and the Beast, Into The Woods, Grease and Chicago.

It has all been put together under the contagiously energetic supervision of Scott Hili. As director and choreographer, Scott has ensured that the capable cast exudes energy and passion as they act, dance and sing their hearts out.

Adrian Tamburini has proven to be both talented and demanding as a musical director. He wants each cast member to do their utmost to ensure that their singing is as good as it can be - in terms of diction, dynamics, intonation and passion. He has also managed to assemble a highly experienced and talented band to accompany the performers on stage.

Scott Hili has been nominated for numerous Guild and Lyrebird awards, and after working with him it is easy to see why!

There's No Business Like Show Business opens on September 10th and only runs for 2 weekends. For further information or to book tickets, please call Stephen Oakes on 9584 7982.
